How much a financial consultant costs

What affects the price

  • One question or a full plan

A one-off consultation on a single question and a written financial plan with calculations, drawn up over several meetings, are priced differently.

  • How much there is to sort out

Several sources of income, loans, foreign-currency savings and accounts in different banks take more time to analyze than a single salary.

  • A person, a family or a company

A financial model, management accounting or a cash flow forecast for a business is a different amount of work than a plan for one person or a family.

  • Tax calculations

Working out the tax on income earned through a foreign broker or comparing tax systems for a sole proprietor (FOP) is work on top of the financial plan itself.

  • Support after the plan

Regular meetings to check the plan against reality and review the investment portfolio are usually paid for separately from the first consultation.

Prices come from specialists' profiles on Nexperity and update automatically. You agree the final price with the specialist directly.

How to choose a financial consultant

  1. 1

    How the consultant earns

Ask whether only you pay the consultant, or whether they also get a fee from a bank, an insurance company or a broker for products sold: it shapes what they will recommend.

  2. 2

    The consultant's specialization

Nexperity does not check qualifications, so ask what the consultant works on most: personal finance, investments, taxes or company finance — and where they trained.

  3. 3

    Risks in as much detail

Investments can lose value too, so a guaranteed return or a promise of quick profit is a warning sign. Ask for the risks of each option to be explained as fully as the possible income.

  4. 4

Money and access stay with you

The consultant advises, and you make the decisions: do not hand them money to invest, or passwords and codes for your bank or brokerage account.

  5. 5

    What the result will be

Agree in advance whether you will get a written plan or a spreadsheet with calculations, how many meetings the price covers and whether you can follow up with questions later.

What to put in the order

The more precise the description, the more precise the prices in responses.
  • What it is about: personal finance, investments, taxes or business finance

  • Your situation in general terms: sources of income, loans, savings

  • Goal and planning horizon: an emergency fund, a big purchase, retirement or growing a business

  • For a business: sole proprietor or company, its industry and whether management accounting is kept

  • What you want to get: one consultation, a written plan or ongoing support

  • Meeting format and language, payment and desired deadline
