How much accounting services cost

What affects the price

  • Business form and tax system

A sole proprietor or an LLC, the simplified or the general tax system — each changes the amount of bookkeeping and reporting considerably.

  • Number and type of transactions

A few incoming payments a month, hundreds of sales or foreign-currency payments from abroad — different amounts of work.

  • Employees

Payroll, HR paperwork and reporting for employees add work.

  • The state of the books at the start

If the books were not kept or reports were filed with errors, they will have to be put back in order first.

  • A one-off task or ongoing support

A single tax return or consultation is priced separately, and you agree the terms of ongoing support with the accountant.

Prices come from specialists' profiles on Nexperity and update automatically. You agree the final price with the specialist directly.

How to choose an accountant

  1. 1

    Experience with a similar business

Nexperity does not check qualifications, so ask whether the accountant has kept the books for a business like yours: a sole proprietor, an LLC, an online store, a company that imports or exports.

  2. 2

    Who keeps track of deadlines

Agree in writing who is responsible for filing reports on time, who calculates the taxes due and who covers a fine if the accountant made a mistake.

  3. 3

Keys and tax accounts under your control

Your qualified e-signature (KEP) and access to your online taxpayer account should stay with you: know where they are kept and who uses them.

  4. 4

    What the work includes

Ask whether the price covers source documents, payroll, consultations and replies to tax office inquiries.

  5. 5

    Exchanging documents

Agree by what date you hand over bank statements and documents, and how the accountant will let you know the tax amounts due.

What to put in the order

The more precise the description, the more precise the prices in responses.
  • Business form, tax system and line of business

  • What you need: a one-off task, a bookkeeping catch-up or ongoing bookkeeping

  • An approximate number of transactions a month, and whether you have employees

  • Payment and deadline — especially if a filing deadline is close

  • No tax numbers, bank details or personal data — only the accountant you choose will get them
