How much an event host costs

What affects the price

  • Date and season

Saturdays in wedding season and holiday dates usually cost more than weekdays.

  • Length of the program

Some hosts charge by the hour, others for the whole evening; extra time is usually paid separately.

  • Number of guests and format

A dinner for your closest people and a large banquet need a different program and preparation.

  • DJ and equipment

A host may work together with a DJ or bring their own sound — this affects the price.

  • Script and travel

A program written specifically for your event and travel out of town are often charged separately.

Prices come from specialists' profiles on Nexperity and update automatically. You agree the final price with the specialist directly.

How to choose a host for your event

  1. 1

    Videos from real events

Ask for a recording of a whole evening, not just a promo clip: it shows how the host holds the room.

  2. 2

    Meet before the deposit

Talk in person or online: you should feel comfortable with this person, and they should understand what you want.

  3. 3

    Language and style

Ukrainian or bilingual, calm or energetic — check that the host works in your format.

  4. 4

Who is in charge of the music

Ask whether the host has their own DJ and equipment, or how they will coordinate the program with your DJ.

  5. 5

    Agreements in writing

Put down the date, working hours, the deposit and the terms if the celebration is postponed.

What to put in the order

The more precise the description, the more precise the prices in responses.
  • Type of event, date, start time and duration

  • Number of guests and who they are: family, friends or colleagues

  • The venue, and whether it has sound and lighting

  • Whether you need a DJ or equipment from the host

  • Payment, wishes for the program and what you definitely do not want
