Life coaching — sessions with a coach online and in person

A life coach helps you set a goal, break it into steps, make time for what matters or commit to a decision — when you want change but don't know where to start. Describe your goal in an order and wait for coaches' responses — or browse profiles right away: format, session price, client reviews.

How much a coaching session costs

What affects the price

  • Session length and type

A regular one-hour session and a longer kick-off session, where goals and a plan are set, are often priced differently.

  • Single session or a program

Some coaches work session by session, others in a program lasting several months, and one meeting within a program may be priced differently.

  • Contact between sessions

Weekly check-ins, reviewing assignments and short messenger replies between sessions are charged separately or included in a program.

  • Individual or in a group

Joining a group coaching session or a mastermind is priced differently from one-on-one work with a coach.

  • Accreditation and experience

Coaches with an international accreditation, such as ICF, and long practice may charge more.

Prices come from specialists' profiles on Nexperity and update automatically. You agree the final price with the specialist directly.

How to choose a life coach

  1. 1

    Training and accreditation

Nexperity does not check certificates, so ask where the coach trained, whether they hold an accreditation such as ICF, and whether they have supervision.

  2. 2

    A get-to-know-you meeting

Ask for a short first meeting. It will show whether the coach asks more than advises, and whether you find it easy to speak openly with them.

  3. 3

    Topics the coach works with

Goals and productivity, balance or life changes — each coach has their own topics. Look at the services in their profile and ask what they have worked on before.

  4. 4

    How progress is tracked

Ask how the coach tracks your progress toward the goal: steps between sessions, interim reviews. A promise of “a new life in a month” should make you wary, since the work is still yours to do.

  5. 5

    Coaching is not psychotherapy

A coach works with goals and actions. If things have been very hard for a long time or you are in crisis, it is better to see a psychologist or a doctor.

What to put in the order

The more precise the description, the more precise the prices in responses.
  • Your topic or goal in general terms: what you want to change and where you want to get to

  • What you need: one session, a few meetings or a longer program

  • Format: online or in person — and the language you are comfortable speaking

  • Preferred frequency of sessions, convenient days and times

  • Preferences for the coach: experience with your topic, accreditation

  • Payment per session or for the whole program
